Our Story

Bazazi started in Karachi in 2019 when I was still a university student.

The idea came from something simple. While scrolling through Etsy, I came across embroidered T-shirts and was inspired by how much character and detail a simple piece of clothing could have. I started wondering why we couldn’t create something similar here, in our own way.

With around 25,000 PKR in savings, I decided to give it a try.

I had no background in fashion or experience running a clothing brand. I went to the markets, experimented with materials, made mistakes, and learned through trial and error. Once I had something I was genuinely happy with, I brought a few friends together and shot our first collection in a friend’s apartment.

That was the beginning of Bazazi.

In the early days, I handled almost everything myself. I reached out to influencers, asked them to review our products, and slowly started getting the word out. Some people took a chance on us, and the first collection started selling. Then came the next, and gradually Bazazi began to grow.

But as the brand evolved, so did the reason behind it.

I began to realise that clothing could be more than just a product. It could tell stories—about where we come from, the people behind the work, our culture, experiences, and the ideas that often go unnoticed.

That changed the direction of Bazazi.

Today, storytelling sits at the centre of what we do. Our collections are built around ideas and narratives, while the people, creativity, and craftsmanship behind them remain an important part of the journey.

This is what empowering communities through fashion storytelling means to us.

We want Bazazi to be more than a clothing brand. We want to use fashion as a platform to tell meaningful stories, celebrate creativity and craftsmanship, and create opportunities for the people and communities connected to those stories.

Six years later, Bazazi is still independent, still evolving, and still being built with the same curiosity that started it all.

What began with 25,000 PKR and an idea has grown into something with a much clearer purpose.

And we’re still building.
