Javed Nama T-Shirt

ترسم ایں عصرے کہ تو زاری دراں
در بدن غرق است و کم داند ز جاں

Translates as:

میں اس زمانے سے جس میں تو پیدا ہوتا ہے ڈرتا ہوں اس لیے کہ وہ بدن میں غرق ہے اور روح سے بے خبر ہے ۔

The Javed Nama Book by Iqbal, the only contemporary poetic work in which the condition of man is depicted from the standpoint of a clear regeneration, served as the inspiration for the T-shirt. It begins with a depiction of the world that is overrun with ugliness, evil, and death and moves on to a developing new world with the hope of a new Man and a new way of life. Between these two points, the preceding two centuries of human history are specifically described in relation to human destiny.

Historically the poem belongs to the most difficult times in the life of the people of South Asia. It was composed in 1927-1931. Javid Nama is a creative work within its own creative definition from South Asia and was recognized throughout the world yet considered one of the most visionary perspectives discussed in poetry.
